The three of them had two things in common: Violence, and perfume. Dark, sweet decay. I would be hard pressed to find a better example of romantic discomfort. The idealization of depravity, feminine and unnerving, 'Possibly in Michigan' follows two woman as they're stalked by a cannibal, something they've made a habit of getting themselves into. The colorization, the musical composition, the unnerving interaction between the three is incredibly inspired, but that’s not what makes this video stay with you. There is something... familiar. It lingers, like a bad dream.
